How To Change Your Sprite on Scratch

Wondering how you can change your sprite/character for your next cool project? This blog will guide you on various ways to do it easily.

There are multiple ways to change your sprite: Either you can draw your own, choose one from sprite library or upload from files.

• To choose sprite from library:

Step 1: Hover over sprite button.

Step 2: Click on choose a sprite button.

Step 3: A window will pop up then choose what you like

• For uploading, your own sprite from your local files:

Step 1: Hover over sprite button.

Step 2: Click on upload sprite.

Step 3: Choose the image from folders

Step 4: Click on open

• For drawing your own sprite:

Step 1: Hover over sprite button.

Step 2: Click on paint button, a dialog will open up where you will see draw your sprite

Step 3: Draw your sprite and after creating your own sprite, click on convert to bitmap

If you are not sure about which sprite to choose, you can follow the step 1, click on surprise to get a randomly selected sprite to work with.
