What are the Channels/Technology should parents use to teach their kids coding?

Online Education has become a common and important part of a kid's life. The child can sit anywhere and can learn whatever they want from anyone. The use of online education includes 1:1 teaching, group teaching, and the use of Youtube. Youtube is a platform where one can easily gain access and can learn anytime and anywhere.

While code learning is important and famous amongst kids, they can use youtube or any other website to learn to code online. Let us have a look at the channels/ technologies parents should use while teaching their children coding.


Scratch:

Scratch is known as Visual Programming Language popular amongst 8-14-year-old kids. It is an introductory program for kids where they can drag-and-drop interface with the color blocks which makes it an innovative program. Kids can also create their own stories, games, or any other animations by using scratch.


Tinkercard:

Tinkercard is a 3D-based online modeling program, where you can create any model, picture, or art using 3D. It can also be used as constructive geometry modeling at the school level. Tinkercard makes 3D-based model making easy and useful to use.


Code.org:

It is an organization that has a youtube channel under the same name where they provide free coding training and learning for every age group. Even if you do not have any knowledge about coding, this can be the perfect platform to start learning to code.


Python:

Python is a high-level programming language. It is used to create, write or learn coding for any type of project. The language used in python has an object-oriented approach. It is used to learn a professional coding language.


The Coding Train:

This is a youtube channel that is hosted by Daniel Shiffman. He teaches kids coding by using animation. He covers the topics related to java, javascript, etc. As these topics and programs are hard to understand, animation makes it fun and easy to learn.


Blocky:

Blocky is quite similar to Scratch. It is refined by Google. It has the same interlocking building metaphor-like Scratch. Blocky is a visual editor programming platform. Here, you can use Javascript, Python, Dart, etc.




As coding is necessary and has become a part of learning, many websites/channels/technologies help kids to learn coding in a simple way. This makes them interested in coding and the knowledge can be gained easily. Therefore, parents should use the above-listed channels/ technologies for kids to learn to code.
